Alanya lies roughly 125 to 135 km east of Antalya Airport by road. The exact distance depends on where your accommodation is, because Alanya stretches for many kilometres along the coast. A hotel in the town centre and a hotel in a resort area further east can be noticeably different distances from the airport, so always check the exact location of your stay before you plan the ride.
In normal traffic, plan on about two hours by road. In July and August, at busy arrival times, or when there are roadworks, the same trip can take longer. If your flight lands late in the evening, the road is usually quieter, but you should still allow extra time for passport control, baggage reclaim and finding your driver or vehicle.
A practical rule is to treat the whole airport-to-hotel journey as a half-evening event: time to leave the terminal, about two hours on the road, and time to check in at the other end.
The trip follows the D400 coastal highway east from Antalya. On the way you pass the Side and Manavgat area before continuing towards Alanya. It is a straightforward route, which also means that if you later want to explore the coast, many of the places worth visiting are right along the same road. Our Antalya Airport to Side guide covers the first part of this journey in more detail.
If you prefer a direct ride, you can look at our Antalya Airport to Alanya private transfer page and ask about your dates and hotel before you travel.
Alanya also has its own airport, Gazipasa-Alanya Airport, located roughly 40 km east of the resort. It is smaller and has a more limited flight schedule, so it only helps if a flight that suits your dates and home city exists. If it does not, flying into Antalya Airport and transferring by road is the usual solution. Compare both flight options before you book, because a cheaper ticket into Antalya can still be the better trip overall if the Gazipasa times do not suit you.

Because the road passes through one of the most visited parts of the Turkish Riviera, it is easy to add a day out once you have settled in. Our local guide from Side to Alanya covers castles, rivers and boat days along the coast.
