Belek is built for staying put: long sandy beaches, pine forest behind the hotels and all-inclusive days that rarely need a plan. That is exactly why the best day trips from Belek feel so good when you finally go. You are not far from Roman theatres, a mountain reservoir, a busy river harbour and one of the region's biggest theme parks — but distances, pickup rules and the length of the day matter more here than a glossy excursion list.
This guide is written for people already staying in Belek, Kadriye or the nearby strip. It starts with what you can do without a long transfer, then moves to the classic Side and Antalya days that many Belek guests still join — with honest notes on time on the road and what to check before you book.
Belek sits on Antalya's eastern resort coast, west of Side and Manavgat and east of Antalya city. Most visitors come for golf, spa hotels and beach clubs. The coastline is soft sand and pine, not the rocky coves of Kemer or Kaş, so a "day out" usually means either a half day on a small boat, a theme-park day, or a full day inland or toward Side.
If you are still choosing where to stay, our overview of best hotels in Belek maps the strip by style. For planning excursions, treat Belek as a comfortable hub: short hops for history and the theme park, slightly longer ones for Side's river harbour and the canyon country behind Manavgat.
If you want something local that is not another big sightseeing boat, the Belek fishing tour with breakfast and lunch is the clearest Belek-native option we run.
The listed day is six hours. The boat leaves the Belek coast at 07:00 with a warm breakfast on board, then the crew — local fishermen — walk you through traditional-style fishing. Equipment and bait are included; beginners and families are welcome. Soft drinks are included during the fishing session. Around midday you get fish and chips with salad on board, and you are usually back on land by about 13:00. Other drinks and personal expenses are not included. Bring a hat and sunscreen; pack swimwear and a towel only if you want the option to swim.
It is a half day, not a full excursion marathon, which makes it easy to keep the afternoon for the pool. For a fuller walkthrough of the rhythm of the morning, see our Belek fishing tour guide. Check live dates on the tour page before you fix your itinerary.
The Land of Legends is in the Belek area. From many Belek hotels the transfer is often only about 10–25 minutes, which is why it is the easiest full-day outing if you are travelling with children or anyone who wants slides, rides and evening shows without a long coach tour.
Plan it as a full day: water park and theme-park zones, shopping avenues and restaurants on site, and optional evening entertainment depending on the season. Food, lockers and many extras inside the park are separate from entry and from any transfer you arrange. Our transfer guide above sets out typical road times from Antalya city, Lara, Side and Alanya as well, if your group is split across resorts.
If you are staying in Side rather than Belek, we also package theme-park admission with hotel transfer on a Side departure — that product is aimed at Side guests, not at Belek hotels that already sit next to the park. Belek guests should treat Land of Legends as a local day and arrange entry and a short transfer to suit their hotel.
Side is roughly a 45-minute drive east of Belek in normal traffic (about 40–45 km by road — approximate; traffic varies). The old town, Apollo temple and theatre sit on a headland, and the Manavgat river harbour that feeds many boat days is next door. You can visit Side independently, or join a river day that starts from the Side–Manavgat strip (see below).
Aspendos and the nearby Roman sites sit inland from Belek on a short drive — public transfer guides often quote around 20–30 minutes to Aspendos, but exact time depends on your hotel and traffic. Many Belek guests combine Aspendos with Perge or Side on a history day. We do not currently publish a dedicated "Aspendos from Belek" product page, so if ruins are your priority, ask us what is running for your dates or plan a private visit with entrance tickets bought on site.
Antalya city is roughly 45–60 minutes west. Our Antalya Old Town walk and waterfall escape is listed as an eight-hour Side departure: Kaleiçi (Old Town), Düden Waterfalls (entry included on the current page), a Kurşunlu viewpoint stop and free time in the centre. If you are in Belek, confirm before booking whether your hotel is on the pickup list for that day — the live page describes Side hotel pickup.
These are the classic "leave the resort" days for Belek guests who want water and mountains. Most organised coaches still stage from the Side–Manavgat side of the coast. Road time from Belek is real but manageable; the important check is whether your Belek hotel is included in that day's pickup. Our Side tour pages describe Side hotel pickup — message us with your hotel name before you rely on a Belek collection.
Manavgat river, waterfall and bazaar. The Manavgat River Cruise, Waterfall and Bazaar boat tour is a 7–8 hour day: hotel pickup, a 2–3 hour boat section with swimming and a foam party, lunch on board, an optional waterfall stop (the current page lists an optional on-site entrance of about €1) and 1–2 hours at the local bazaar. Pickup time depends on where you stay; the page estimates a finish around 15:30. Soft drinks on the boat are not in the included list — bring cash for drinks and shopping.
Green Canyon. The Green Canyon lake cruise swaps the open sea for the Oymapınar reservoir in the Taurus foothills: an eight-hour day with a calm freshwater cruise, swim stops, lunch at a lakeside restaurant and soft drinks during the boat section. It suits anyone who prefers still water and mountain scenery to a busy coastal boat.
Köprülü Canyon rafting. The Köprülü Canyon wild river rafting day is 7–8 hours with Side-area pickup, safety kit, instructors, swim breaks and a riverside lunch. The current page marks it suitable for beginners; drinks, photos and tips are extra. Optional on-site extras such as a short zipline may appear depending on conditions — they are not guaranteed.

Two practical rules: do not stack two full coach days back to back in high summer heat, and always re-check dates and inclusions on the live tour page — seasons and optional extras change.
Most Belek holidays start at Antalya Airport (AYT). You can enquire about a private Antalya Airport to Belek transfer (private vehicle, 24/7 operation, flight monitoring and waiting time per the booking conditions). Transfers are arranged around your flight and hotel details rather than treated as a fixed-price walk-up ticket — use the transfer page or the homepage transfer builder, and put the correct hotel name on the form. Our Antalya Airport to Belek transfer guide explains the route and planning points in more detail.
For something on your doorstep, Land of Legends and the Belek fishing morning are the strongest local picks. For a full coach day, Manavgat river, Green Canyon, Köprülü rafting and Antalya Old Town are the usual shortlist — confirm Belek hotel pickup when the tour is listed as a Side departure.
About 40–45 km east, often around 45 minutes by road without heavy traffic. Treat that as approximate; hotel location and seasonal traffic change the time.
Yes. The park is in the Belek area. Many Belek hotels are about 10–25 minutes away according to our Land of Legends transfer guide.
Yes. Belek has its own fishing morning. Larger river and canyon boat days are commonly organised from the Side–Manavgat harbour area; ask whether your Belek hotel is on the pickup list for the date you want.
Most resort guests are happier with one full day out plus one half day (for example fishing or a short history visit), leaving the rest of the week for the beach and hotel. Families headed to Land of Legends should keep the day before and after lighter.
It is wiser to arrange Antalya Airport to Belek transport before you fly, especially with late arrivals or a lot of luggage. Use the private transfer enquiry/booking flow with accurate flight and hotel details.
